Year 12 Road Safety Day

On Wednesday all our Year 12 students attended a Road Safety Day at Levels Raceway. Students were split into two groups and attended 6 different workshops all focused around Road Safety. The workshops provided invaluable education around driver behaviour, speed and stopping distances, safety features of a car, statistics, distractions while driving, decision making and crash investigation.

The sessions were interactive and provided the students with lifesaving information.

We would like to thank Ryda Road Safety Education and our local Rotary club for making this happen.

On Monday we had a very early start with just over 30 Year 13 students attending the Otago University and Polytechnic Open Day. All of the facilities were open for the day and students were able to attend lectures, speak to experts and look at accommodation at the Halls of Residences. It was a very useful event to assist the students in making their decisions for 2023.  We had several Craighead students from 2021 meet students down there and assisted with tours.

Year 13 students are currently completing scholarship applications and starting their halls of residence applications for 2023.
